Private Thoughts Made Public

I hope Dan doesn’t mind if I take over here for a few minutes. He’s busy doing whatever he does when he’s not paying attention to me, so I don’t think he’ll mind. Hello. I’m Dan’s blog, creatively entitled brain:download:complete. I’ve never had a chance to speak for myself before, so I’m going to make the most of it. I’m a bit nervous, so please bear with me.
[ stand up...... deep breath...... clear throat..... are we sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin...... ]

It’s been a year since Dan started writing me and I must admit I thought I’d be a flash in the pan, a nine-day wonder. But lo and behold, here I am, 12 months, two hosts and a redesign later, bigger, better and stronger than ever before. I feel like I’m growing and getting a voice now. I feel like I’m getting ready to take on the world and put it in it’s place. I’m getting ready to shout and scream and tell everyone “Here I am! Read me! And have fun while you’re at it!!”
Dan doesn’t consider himself to be much of a writer, or much of a raconteur, or photographer, or anything really. He just feels he stumbles through life one day at a time, not thinking too much about the outside world, too wrapped up in his own affairs to be bothered much with anything else. But he created me out of thin air, and has nurtured me until I’m the site you see before you today. And I’m going to nurture him as well. I’m going to help him find his own voice, to form his own opinions instead of just watching the news and thinking “bleah”. It’s going to be a long hard journey, but it’ll be fun, you’ll see.
It’s taken a year but I’m just starting to make myself heard. Just watch out for the terrible two’s.
