Month End Gedcom and General News

Gedcom 2 Comments

The month end gedcom has just been uploaded which includes surnames up-to the end of ‘U’  – only 5 more  letters to go then I start all over again – at least 75% people now have year of birth filled as well as dates of marriage and where

We were sorry to learn of the passing away of Paul Fisher and  Leslie Miller and wish both families ‘Long Life’ and hope that the coming year will bring joy and happiness to all our extended families

The original tree started off with just the Freedman name and over the years has grown to include many more – the total number of names now stands at just over 9300 and is still growing – once again we ask you to check your own families to see how we are doing and any other names you may recognise off the surname list on the home page

Don’t forget we still want as much information, documentation and pictures you might want us to include – these can be sent to bryansyl@gmail.com (please scan at best resolution – we can sort them out at this end)

Because of the Yom Tovim there will probably not be an update until the middle of october

Can’t think of anything else to write except comments on how we are doing might be nice to share with everyone and this can be dones by hitting the comments link at the top of any blog posting you

wishing everyone L’Shanah Tova

This is comment that I received from Sandra Demmy who tried to post it herself.
I have been looking at the family tree lately. In Israel, every child at the age of 13 has to research & do a project about their family tree – My grandson Iddo has just done this.
The Freedman Family Tree has been a big help to us. I found it very “user friendly”.
We wish all the family a healthy & happy coming year, & well over the Fast.
At this time of the year, we would ask you to pray for the safe return of our soldier Gilad Schalit, held in illegal captivity by Hamas for 4 years. Thank you.
Sandra & Jeffrey Demmy (nee Freedman)

Month End Gedcom and Updates – Please have a read of the full posting

With the use of someone  else’s pc and internet connection I have just uploaded the latest gedcom and 44 headstone pictures taken  at Rainsough cemetery last weekend

Please check your own family names to see if any of  them are part of your family as there are too many to mention individually

If the weather stays good I will try and do some more – if you know where your ancestors are buried please let me know and I’ll try and find them

We want to keep this tree alive for our future generations as a living history of our extended families so please let us have any information-pictures and documents you feel you would like included – the can be sent to Sylvia at bryansyl@gmail.com Please scan at best resolution as we can sort them out at our end

Once again thanks to Hyam for sorting and adding the headstone pictures to the main database

I’m still working my way through the surname list and by the next update should have finished the ‘T’ section – this is getting easier to complete now as more records are becoming available on Ancestry and FindmyPast as well as the cenus and BMD web sites

Hopefully the next update will be around the middle of the month – so watch this space !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
