Obscure

What's your favourite obscure album? You know, the one you really like listening to but you think no-one else has ever even heard of apart from whoever made the album and whoever sold it to you in the first place.

Mine's Big Science by Laurie Anderson. This album is so different to everything else I have in my collection - I'm more of a metalhead usually. My tasted have broadened recently, I like everything from Metallica to Joni Mitchell these days, but Laurie Anderson is still very much apart from anything else I like.

What do other readers think?

Good question! Probably Schnell Fenster's "The Sound of Trees" which was released in 1988. The band was formed in Melbourne, Australia, but comprised mainly of New Zealanders - former members of Split Enz. You can read about them here: http://www.frenz.com/philjudd/bio-sf.html
